Your vital signs will be carefully monitored by the anesthesiologist during and after surgery, and any possible medical problem which may develop during the surgery will be dealt with immediately. You will be under your anesthesiologist's supervision throughout the surgery and during your recovery phase.
Because surgery affects your entire system; it is important for your anesthesiologist to know as much about you as possible. After your procedure is completed, you will remain in the recovery room for some time. Later, you will rest in regular, comfortable room. It is completely normal to feel a little dizzy. Some can be prescribed to minimize this discomfort. You will be carefully monitored for an adverse side effects to the anesthesia. You will stay in our medical center until Dr. Espinosa feels sure you have completed your recovery phase. You will then receive specific home-care instructions and prescriptions for medicine. Be sure to arrange for someone to drive you home and to stay with you at least the first night following the surgery.
